Return of the Phoenixx - PDUK ..

After a couple of years to get my finances back in order after the Covid Lockdown and my own cancer scare, I have been working hard towards getting both the time, money and energy to restart my Latex and Fashion Label again. This is finally starting to look possible after passing my level 2 Mechanics in July and getting my time back again, I am preparing my studio to start taking orders and the launch date will be the 1st September 2023.

I will however still need to work as a Support Worker to enable my monthly bills to be paid. So my initial start will need to accommodate my time constraints. I will therefore be able to work with 4-6 commissions per month with a waiting list of 10 commissions. So, first come first served, and I look forwards to working with all you lovely shiny people in the near future.

This has been a long time coming and I have really missed working with clients over the last couple of years. Fashion has always been my passion from the age of 12 years old. I will forever need it in my life, however small and insignificant the light of fashion designing might be.

I will be creating my own one-off designs too of course, using different methods of construction and decoration. This as always, will be a ongoing project which I hope will engage with my future clients, to create some unique and beautiful garments. The Baroque Collection will be looked at again, as its one of my all time favourite looks to both create and wear myself.

The Baroque Collection

I have also been busy quietly making a Porcelain Baroque Collection of Jewellery in collaboration with Ceramicist Louise Schrempf, to match the Fashion Collection of the same name. These can be mixed and matched to accommodate most styling preferences. As well as my own Handbag designs which can be decorated in The Baroque Collection styling too.

I have also been engaging with a skills-swap in collaboration with a Silver-wear Designer and Sculptor, Carrie Flavell. These pieces are experiments for me to learn how to solder and manipulate silver, copper and gilding metal. Starting with my very first attempt at making a silver bezel for one of my porcelain pieces.

I have also been keeping busy with moulding and making polymer clay Jewellery items too.
